You are absolutely right. Since the propulsion system does not require any cooperation among competing manufacturers, the market place would have already choosen these electric cars if they were better.

The big feature that is coming is the collisionless car. Sort of like air bags. You won’t even know that the cars are talking to each other and watching out for each other until an accident is eminent, in which case they will activate, slowing and stopping the cars in their lanes. They may even issue a ticket to the offending driver whose behind they saved!

Bigger things will be coming after that is old hat.

I think it’s sad, just as I think it’s sad that the record stores are gone. It’s unbelievable, the changes that have happened in the past decade or so from technology. Having cash is important, but in terms of returns to an investor, the cash could be a lot more useful.
