My elderly parents have asked me to help them determine which Texas electricity company is best for them. They may be moving to a retirement subdivision soon and do not want to sign another long term contract with their current provider. I looked over their last contract and suggested that they switch to a month-by-month plan. This will give them the flexibility to sell their home and move away without any hassles. I also showed them a different plan that had better rates. They would save quite a bit of money by making these couple of changes when they contact the electric company next week.
