When we are on our feet all day at the job we sure need to really take care to buy comfortable footwear which will also be the right kind for the job we are doing. I know my husband needed steel toe shoes and love the redwing work boots he found years ago. Only he worked were he got them wet at times so I tried something I used to do for mine. I sprayed them with silicone (3 coats)  to protect them from the elements, do this outside as it can make floors very slippery. Especially if your husband is a fireman like mine was. He didn’t like my idea of getting him out of the house faster with the over spray from the silicone very much. And I had used newspaper under them so be careful!
