I am thinking of transitioning from being a nyc wedding photo assistant into being a full time photographer. I have assisted the best of the best, and I think that I’m now ready to make a leap into  solidly pursuing wedding photography. What an amazing job! I can travel the world, shoot the most gorgeous spots on the planet, and to boot, commemorate weddings in those beautiful places. It seems truly win-win. My other thought is to align myself with a resort in COsta Rica and just move there full time. That way I can have a beach-y life and still have a job.

I love to scrapbook.  One of the easiest and most fun parts of scrapbooking is Making Craft Card. I love to get all my card supplies out in order to come up with some fun and interesting designs.  I can use homemade cards for birthdays, Christmas, Mother’s Day, and any other holiday that comes along. When my best friend’s college professor went out of his way to help her understand a particularly difficult concept, she wanted to send a card to express her thanks but could not find the best way to say it. She found a list of thank you sayings online that were wonderful but she could not choose just one. She spent hours trying to narrow down the list to the best sayings but hours turned into days. Although Princess Diana is gone and died at the young age of 36, she still remains larger than life.  Surely the most famous woman in the world, Diana was not only a member of the royal family, her efforts to outlaw landmines was one of her most memorable deeds to humanity.  She once walked through a landmine in Angola and was photographed wearing a battle helmet and flak jacket.  She also was the most photographed person in the world, period.  Her organization of the Ottawa Treaty in 1997, gathered nations together to outlaw anti-personnel land mines.

When I think of good photography I think of the city of Seattle. There is so much culture and art there that it’s no wonder there is so much to choose from in the realm of photographers.  I phone the director of photography Seattle had the other day.  This guy was the director if his own firm and had some pretty amazing stuff.  I sat down with him and looked through his portfolio and was blown away by the images that he had.  They were so much more than I could have ever expected in a photographer.  We are now set for him to do my wedding in the spring.
