I think that the deck staining project that the kids and I did went rather well. I actually thought that it would take both days of the weekend to get it done, but we got done in just under six hours. The deck looks great and we should be able to walk on it Monday. I had thought about hiring someone else to do the deck staining but I figured that the kids and myself could handle it and we did. All of the neighbors came over to tell us how good it looked and I think that made the kids feel really good about what they had accomplished.
