When our son called and told us that he was getting married we were so relieved.  We had almost given up on that ever happening.  Then when he told us that his wife to be was English and that they would be getting married in London we had second thoughts.  It took some planning but with the aid of a listing of cheap hotels in central London we were able to put it all together.  We will be getting there a few days before the wedding to spend some time with him and then will tour the country after the wedding is over.
