Practice Skills with Fashion Design Drawings
March 7, 2010 7:13 pm News and SocietyOne of the best ways for a fashion designer to practice his or her techniques, without investing large dollar amounts into actually producing experimental garment after experimental garment, is to use fashion design drawings to practice the fundamentals. By utilizing drawings, designers can get a good feel for how the market would react to certain ideas, and for how potential clients (or maybe employers) would also react. Drawings are much more economical because they don’t require actually buying fabric and investing the time into sewing and perfecting a garment. If enough people buy into the idea, then it can become reality, but in the meantime, drawings are a great way to practice.
